The timeframes below are proposed standard terms pending business confirmation.
Cooling-off (direct marketing)
If you concluded a transaction after contacting us following online advertising (direct marketing), the Consumer Protection Act provides a cooling-off period of five (5) business days from conclusion of the transaction or delivery of goods/services, whichever is applicable. Within that window you may cancel in writing unless work you expressly requested has already been fully performed.
Service fees
For consulting fees agreed in writing:
- Before work starts: amounts paid for work not yet started may be refunded within 5 business days of written cancellation, minus reasonable administrative costs if any were disclosed in your quote.
- After work starts: fees for work already performed are not refundable. Milestone deposits are non-refundable once the milestone work has commenced.
- Advisory sessions: sessions cancelled with at least 48 hours notice may be rescheduled once; late cancellations may be charged as delivered.
How to request a refund
Email info@datafield.digital with your name, engagement reference, and reason. We respond within 5 business days and, when approved, process refunds to the original payment method within 10 business days unless otherwise stated in your statement of work.
Disputes
If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact us first. You retain statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.
